So what's this all about?

My name is David Gray, I named my studio after my grandfather, who was a printmaker his entire life and my inspiration for becoming a printmaker. I have been studying printmaking at the New Hampshire Institute of Art and wanted my own studio, I enjoyed the collaborate environment at NHIA and have decided to open my studio to other printmakers.

Safe printmaking is important, not only for the health of the artist, but also our impact on the environment. Its impossible to eliminate all hazards, but I strive to keep the studio as safe as possible.

D.M. Penny Press opened in December 2015 and supports artists who are interested in printmaking using the safest methods. The studio is solvent free and strives to be green and sustainable. The studio is available to artists for short term projects taking a few days or weeks and for long memberships and unlimited access.

An article about the studio appeared in the April 14th, 2016 edition of the Hippo Press
